Reasons for the disclaimer:
It was impossible to verify that all the organisations are fiscal hosts as they claim to be. Most organisations do not publish any information about fiscal hosting services on their websites, and there is limited public information about fiscal hosting in Africa. Some organisations may have made unintentional mistakes in responding to the directory questionnaire (e.g., confusing fiscal hosting with regranting, etc.). Others may have been opportunistic by completing the directory questionnaire for added visibility. The latter is difficult to prove. As a result of the editing process, at least some organisations were excluded from the directory as they couldn’t provide sufficient validation and verification of their status as fiscal hosts.
