CNONGD is a membership organisation of more than 600 development NGOs that supports good governance and local development in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It promotes and defends the interests of its members, supports their resource mobilisation efforts and develops a culture of excellence in advocacy, lobbying and resource management among them.
Most members use CNONGD's services to finalise funding agreements with donors, including legal documents and bank accounts. CNONGD acts as a guarantee to donors and provides monitoring and other support services. If necessary, CNONGD also creates sub-bank accounts for some members' projects.

Organisations must operate in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with official recognition from the relevant authorities, a physical address and audited financial accounts.
