Mission

REST works with all appropriate partners and agencies to mobilise resources to meet the basic survival needs of the people of Tigray, assist in the recovery of their resilience and livelihoods, and restore conflict-destroyed household productive capacity, socio-economic infrastructure and services. It envisions a future where all people enjoy security, well-being, human rights, and equitable access to a decent standard of living, development opportunities and benefits.

REST focuses on building communities resilient to conflict and climate shocks. Its mission encompasses resource mobilisation to enable communities to address humanitarian issues and promote community-led and community-owned rehabilitation, recovery and resilience. It is in REST's institutional interest to provide fiscal hosting services to community-based organisations that share and contribute to its mission. Using its well-established grant management capacity, it is committed to ensuring transparent and prudent management of financial resources and contributing to meeting the shared vision and mission of REST, the community and donors.
