Mission

Our mission is to be "the leading public data organisation focused on raising active citizens and civic leaders for improving governance by bridging the information gap between the government and citizens."

BudgIT serves as the bridge by using creative technology to simplify public information, create
digital civic-tech products, and tell a compelling story that spurs action from the governed and the
government. BudgIT stimulates a community of active citizens demanding accountability,
institutional reforms, efficient service delivery, and an equitable society. We aim to build a strong
partnership with public institutions, support and facilitate quality service delivery for citizens, and
be a link between the public and private sectors through reliable public finance analysis and
advisory services.

Our objectives are provided below: 

1. To use creative technology to simplify public information, create digital civic tech products and tell a compelling story that spurs action from both the governed and the government. 

2. To stimulate a community of active citizens, demand accountability, institutional reforms, efficient service delivery and an equitable society.

3. To build a strong partnership with public institutions to support and facilitate quality service delivery for the citizens. 

4. To be a link between the public and private sectors through reliable public finance analysis and advisory services

We have provided fiscal sponsorship for organizations such as EiENigeria, School of Politics, Policy and Governance, Citizen's Gavel among others, which is a testament of our sound governance framework and financial capabilities. We are always keen to support partners to simply deliver impact.

Fiscal hosting portfolio size: Between US$101 000 and US$500 000
Fee structure for offering fiscal hosting services : Between 5% and 10% of the funds managed
